Objective:
With this project, I was tasked with illustrating a concert poster based on an album of our choosing for a concert at the Outback Shack.
Process:
I had difficulty selecting an album, so I chose one of my girlfriend’s favorites: Lovers Rock by the band TV Girl. My goal was to capture the emotions and atmosphere the album conveys through its sound. The pinks and blues I used were inspired by the duo-tone style album artwork of the band. While illustration is slightly outside my comfort zone, I am pleased with the final result I was able to achieve.
